Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | C7 SCS Release 3.7: Information for Simulation start; Publication of Readiness videos and presentation

With this Newsflash, Eurex Clearing wants to remind you of the simulation start of C7 SCS 3.7 on 1 July 2024. 

Simulation start: 1 July 2024

Furthermore, the recording from the C7 SCS 3.7 Focus call and related slides were published on 27 June 2024 on the C7 SCS Release 3.7 Initiative page.

1. C7 SCS 3.7 Simulation start

With start of the simulation phase for C7 SCS Release 3.7, Eurex Clearing is offering Clearing Members the possibility  to perform End to End (E2E) testing of the Eurex physical deliveries in equity derivatives products with settlement via the ESES CSDs (Euroclear France, Euroclear Nederland and Euroclear Belgium), as preparation for the introduction of the Home Market Settlement service.

As indicated in C7 SCS Release 3.7 - Member Simulation Guide (chapter 3.6), the dedicated Eurex products can settle via the ESES CSD account, in accordance with the settlement account setup provided by the customer. The status of the settlement instructions can be retrieved via the C7 SCS simulation reports and via the CSD/TS2 feedback, depending on the reporting setup of the customer.

Please check the Member Simulation Guide for detailed information regarding the availability of the testing environments, ESES and CBF.

For the End-to-End test during the Member Simulation, the following instruments will be available for the American exercise-style Options Products:

In contrast to previous communication, the ISIN NL0000235190 (Airbus) will not be offered for testing.

In addition, due to the implementation of ESES technical releases on 16 July and 20 August 2024, the reconciliation of new, pending, and settled deliveries between C7 SCS and ESES will be delayed by one day during the focus weeks.

¹⁾ Please note the ESE reporting timeline might vary based on ESES systems availability.

²⁾ C7 SCS will report all settlement results received from CBF/T2S during the day and NTS.

Please note that ESES would have technical releases outside HMS Focus weeks on 8 August, 15 August and 17 September 2024. Reconciliation of new, pending and settled deliveries between C7 SCS and ESES will also be delayed by one day on these days.

2. Readiness video and presentation

As announced in the C7 SCS Release 3.7 Focus Call on 20 June 2024, the call recording and the presentation slides have been made available. Furthermore, the C7 SCS 3.7 Member Simulation Guide has been made available.
