Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | C7 Release 10.0: Additional testing available and documentation update

Eurex Clearing would like to inform Clearing Participants of additional testing being offered for C7 Release 10.0.

As already communicated with Eurex Clearing circular 037/23, C7 Release 10.0 will be launched on the following dates:

Simulation start: 12 September 2023
Production start: 20 November 2023

With this newsflash Clearing Participants are informed of additional testing in the simulation environment concerning these two points:

1.    Product Delisting at fair value settlement price, Focus day test 25 October 2023

As announced, the product delisting and fair value settlement will be enhanced by increasing transparency and introducing automated proceedings. 

With the new process, during the EOD processing of the product delisting date, C7 will automatically generate closing transactions for every open position in the delisted product. The closing transactions will be booked at a Fair Value Price (FVP) entered as settlement price.

Should clearing participants wish to test this new process, a focus day will be offered on 25 October 2023 on the following products in simulation which will then be delisted:

We recommend testing the new approach in the simulation environment to assure a smooth transition. In order to test this process, please ensure to have the relevant positions on these products in simulation in advance.

2.    Pricing report CB165 “Eurex Fee Statement”

Eurex Clearing would like to draw your attention to a correction on the documentation referring a change in the pricing report CB165 “Eurex Fee Statement”.

Please note that the actual field to be deleted is “notCurrTypCod” and not “notQty” as originally announced. The field “notCurrTypCod” is an optional field that indicates the notional currency.

In order to facilitate testing, please note that the pricing report CB165 will be produced in simulation on batch days from 30 October 2023 until 17 November 2023.

3.    Clearing report CE051 “FX Transactions & Instructions”

Please also be aware of a correction on the documentation referring a change in the report CE051 “FX Transactions & Instructions”. This report is being re-introduced after being discontinued for some time.

The relevant documentation “Eurex Clearing XML Reports – Modification Notes”, “Eurex Clearing XML Reports – Reference Manual” and “Eurex Clearing XML Reports – XML Schema Files v.10.0” have been updated accordingly.
