Block Trades

The Eurex Block Trade Service supports the off-book trading of standard Eurex products. Buyers and sellers can execute order information into the Eurex® system without execution risk.

The Eurex Block Trade Service is available for specific Eurex products and a minimum number of traded contracts.

Option strategies or option volatility strategies on the basis of Eurex options listed in the table are also admitted to the Block Trade Service. The Minimum Block Trade Size of option strategies or option volatility strategies is equivalent to the Minimum Block Trade Size of the respective underlying option contracts of the strategy.

The Bulk Load Panel within the Block Trade Service further enhances the efficiency in entering order information. This function enables the import of order information for multiple Block Trades directly from a file in CSV format into the Eurex® system.

Please find the Bulk Load import template in the "Further Information" section below.

Block Trades in Single Stock Futures which exceed 999 lots as well as Block Trades in equity options that are larger than 1,000, 2,500, 5,000 or 20,000 contracts (depending on the liquidity group) are optionally not being disclosed intra-day in the relevant GUI windows.

A list of all products admitted for the Block Trade Service incl. Minimum Block Trade sizes can be found in the Contract Specifications for Futures Contracts and Options Contracts at Eurex Deutschland, chapter 3.2.1.

Market Status

XEUR

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.

Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Eurex webpage under Support --> Emergencies and safeguards. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message.

We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.

An instant update of the Market Status requires an enabled up-to date Java™ version within the browser.
