Dear Eurex Participant,
Despite all the changes which took place in our T7 trading system throughout the years, we have maintained, through constant efforts, an extremely high availability rate. Nonetheless, we never stop preparing for potential issues and strive to improve our communication process to achieve high level of readiness for our Trading Participants.
With the Eurex Readiness Newsflash published on 17 November 2020 we have informed you about the Emergency Communication in general and about communication channels in particular. With the current Newsflash, we would like to draw your attention to a further new channel, through which emergency communication will be distributed by the exchange in case of potential technical issues for Eurex (MIC: XEUR) with immediate effect.
1. Further communication channel
In cases of technical issues, affecting the T7 trading system, the exchange immediately starts to investigate the situation. Following the initial analysis, a swift and timely communication as well as frequent updates on the issue is deemed highly important to the Trading Participants.
Currently, emergency communication takes places via the T7 GUI newsboard (if T7 is available), e-mail, SMS and website message. Responding to participant feedback, we have recently begun to make use of an additional communication channel via the data provider “Bloomberg”. Using the dedicated “Financial Markets” news source, we now publish emergency notifications straight to the “Bloomberg” news platform. In other terms, emergency-related messages, which are published over the aforementioned Emergency Newsboard website on www.eurex.com should also be visible on the Eurex financial markets news source on “Bloomberg”.

2. Best Practice for Trading Participants using the Bloomberg platform
In order not to miss any emergency-related notifications, we herewith advise you to set the delivery alerts on our financial market news-wire - {NH FM5_EUREX<GO>} under the “Actions” drop-down menu by selecting the option “Set Alert Delivery”. Delivery methods can then be individually setup to best fit your needs.
