EurexOTC Clear: Introduction of EurexOTC Clear Release 8.1

With this circular Eurex Clearing announces the introduction of
EurexOTC Clear Release 8.1 on 18 June 2018.

The timeline for the new release is as follows:

All functional changes will be reflected in the upcoming release docu­ments, which will be published according to the attached “EurexOTC Clear Release 8.1 – Communication Calendar” which is also available on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurexclearing.com under the following path:

Member Section > Technology > EurexOTC Clear > OTC Release 8.1

Please note that the functions and services introduced with this release – especially the changes in reports are mandatory for all EurexOTC Clearing Members – might have an impact on Members’ internal processes. There­fore, it might be necessary for Members to update their internal processes and interfaces. In case of cooperation with back office vendors, Members should contact their third-party providers as soon as possible to ensure that the necessary adaptations can be made.

This circular contains a description of the changes and enhancements, which will be introduced with EurexOTC Clear Release 8.1. For a detailed description of the changes, please refer to the “EurexOTC Clear Functional Release Notes” and to the technical documentation.

Market Status

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.

Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Eurex webpage under Support --> Emergencies and safeguards. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message. 

We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.
