Eurex
1. Introduction
In Q4/2023, Eurex Exchange started the stepwise consolidation of the Market Data Distributor and Matching Engine processes in the T7 production environment. The aim of the consolidation is not only to reduce complexity by reducing the number of possible failover scenarios but also to enable a more deterministic distribution of data via the Enhanced Market Data Interface (EMDI).
In the first step, just the EOBI source IP address/source networks for the primary processes for Partition 4 were changed to have the same source IP address/source networks as EMDI market data. As announced in Eurex Circular 077/23, Eurex Exchange will complete the consolidation of the Market Data Distributor and Matching Engine processes on the Matching Engine Host for the remaining partitions in Q1/2024.
Once the consolidation of the processes for all partitions is complete, the existing EOBI source IP address and the source networks will be decommissioned.
This circular provides more information regarding the timeline and changes to the source IP addresses/source networks for the remaining partitions.
2. Required action
During the remaining steps, Participants should be aware that the primary and backup processes for each partition will be consolidated. In the next step, the primary processes for the remaining partitions will be changed, followed by the backup processes for all partitions one week later.
3. Details
From 4 March 2024 onwards, the EOBI source IP address/source networks for the primary processes, with the exception of partition 4, will change and the EOBI market data will be sent via the same source IP address/source networks as EMDI market data. From 11 March 2024 onwards, the source IP address/source networks of the backup processes for all partitions, including the backup process of partition 4, will change simultaneously.
Please refer to the Attachment for a detailed overview of the target IP addresses/source networks.
An updated version of the N7 Network Access Guide containing the above-mentioned changes will be published to coincide with the aforementioned consolidation dates under the following link:
