Amended SFTP upload functionality for short codes und algoIDs – migration of upload processes to the Common Upload Engine (CUE)

Eurex Circular 059/21 Amended SFTP upload functionality for short codes und algoIDs – migration of upload processes to the Common Upload Engine (CUE)

1.   Introduction

Eurex Deutschland will implement the Common Upload Engine (CUE) as central point of data uploads for Eurex Trading Participants. The CUE is an SFTP server and the respective account management will be performed in the Member Section of Deutsche Börse Group, analogous to the Common Report Engine (CRE). The changes communicated in this circular intend to streamline and simplify upload functionalities of various regulatory reporting requirements.

The currently used SFTP server for Short/Long Code and algoID uploads will be migrated to the CUE.
Therefore, Eurex Trading Participants using the current SFTP server are required to migrate their upload processes to CUE with T7 Release 10.0. A parallel operation of the new CUE and the current Axway SFTP server will be granted from 22 November 2021 until 17 December 2021 eob.

The Member Section upload functionality is out of scope for this migration.

2.   Required action

Eurex Trading Participants using the SFTP server for their Short/Long code and algoID uploads need to migrate their upload processes to the CUE with T7 Release 10.0. The respective account management/set up of the CUE access is expected to be established in the Member Section of Deutsche Börse Gorup, analogous to the CRE.

Eurex Trading Participants must set up a new CUE “mifid” folder in order to upload their Short/Long Code/algoID files. The file naming convention of the respective files will change and need to be adapted accordingly by the Eurex trading participants. Details are provided in section 3 below and can also be retrieved from the CUE/CRE user manuals on the website, once published in the course of the next weeks on the Eurex website www.eurex.com under:

Support > Initiatives & Releases > T7 Release 10.0 > MiFID II/MiFIR

Please note that the setup of a new “mifid” folder by Trading Participants on the CRE is not required as the reports TR160, TR161, TR162, TR163 and TR166 are provided to the regular market folders, as today.

The new upload solution will be available as follows:

  • In Simulation as part of the T7 Release 10.0 simulation from 13 September 2021
  • In Production from the introduction of T7 Release 10.0 on 22 November 2021

A parallel operation of the new CUE and the current Axway SFTP server will be granted from 22 November 2021 until 17 December 2021 eob.

3.   Details

In addition to the migration of the upload processes, Trading Participants need to adapt the file name to CUE requirements.

Naming convention for short code and algo ID upload files:

The file name for the two different files will be constructed as follows:

e.g. 88EXTREFDAABCLO20210216XEUR.CSV
e.g. 88EXTALGO1ABCLO20210217XEUR.CSV

Please note that Trading Participants of Eurex Deutschland have to upload files for the operating MIC “XEUR”. Moreover, if a Eurex Trading Participant has multiple memberIDs, one file can cover short codes or algoIDs of all memberIDs.
