II. Provision for Index Total Return Futures Trade-at-Market (TAM) Transactions on next exchange day (t+1)

This provision allows for T7 Trade Entry Services to be used to enter an MSCI Index TRF trade with reference to an Official Index Close on the following exchange day. In general, MSCI Official Index Close is disseminated after the close of trading at Eurex Deutschland. In such a case, the trade may be entered on the following trading day with adjustments made to the inputs to achieve the originally intended economics.

Where the terms of a Trade-at-Market (TAM) transaction are agreed with reference to an Official Index Close as the Custom Underlying Level, and where that Official Index Close is not available during the Off-Book Trading Period on the trading day (t) of that contract, then the TAM transaction should be entered on the next trading day (t+1), such that:

  • TRF Spread for the Index Total Return Futures Contract is entered as agreed with reference to the trading day (t)
  • The Traded Futures Price (t+1) is equal to the Traded Futures Price (t) with reference to the Official Index Close (t) being entered as the Custom Underlying Level (“Theoretical Traded Futures Price (t)”)
  • The Participants determine and agree an adjusted Custom Underlying Level (t+1) such that Traded Futures Price (t+1) is equal to the Theoretical Traded Futures Price (t)

Please refer to Attachment 1 for the complete amendments to the Contract Specifications and to Attachment 2 for the amendments to Annex C to the Contract Specifications.

The full version of the updated Contract Specifications will be published on the Eurex website www.eurex.com as of start of trading under:

Rules & Regs > Eurex Rules & Regulations > 03. Contract Specifications

Attachments:
