1. Introduction
As part of its ongoing infrastructure refresh, Eurex will replace the Order Entry Access Layer Switches in the Equinix FR2 co-location (Colo 2.0) facility affecting all 10 Gbit/s connections. The replacement of the switches is planned to be carried out
The names of the switches will remain the same as today:
A-side: RFRA3211, RFRA3212, RFRA3213, RFRA3214, RFRA3215, RFRA3216, RFRA3217
B-side: RFRA3231, RFRA3232, RFRA3233, RFRA3234, RFRA3235, RFRA3236, RFRA3237
While the Access Layer switch port assignment may change, the physical fibre connection between the EDGE cassette in the customer rack and the Access Layer Switch will remain as it is.
Please note that prior to the technical refresh, switch port information for all Colo 2.0 connections will be removed from the Member Portal and will no longer be available to customers. This move is intended to harmonise the level of transparency and discourage optimisation based on port preferences.
2. Required action
After the replacement, participants are strongly recommended to verify their connectivity to the new switches (e.g.) by measuring light levels, confirming the receipt of technical heartbeats from the T7 production environment or the receipt of market data from the T7 simulation environment.
Eurex will provide a support window on Saturday, 12 October 2024 between 16:00 and 18:00 CEST and on Saturday, 26 October 2024 between 16:00 and 18:00 CET.
In the event of any unforeseen issues, participants will be able to contact their Technical Key Account Manager via their VIP number or cts@deutsche-boerse.com during the support window.
