1.  Introduction

With effect from 2 December 2024, the Management Board of Eurex Deutschland took the following decisions:

  • To introduce new strike price intervals five trading days prior to expiration for Micro-DAX® Micro-Options contracts (ODXS).
  • The Annexes to the Contract Specifications for Futures Contracts and Options Contracts at Eurex Deutschland will be amended as shown in the Attachment.

The full version of the updated Contract Specifications will be published on the Eurex website www.eurex.com/ex-en/ as of start of trading under:

Rules & Regs > Eurex Rules & Regulations > 03. Contract Specifications

Launch in production: 2 December 2024

2.  Required action

Trading Participants should check their trading and clearing systems regarding the new strike price intervals and adapt, if required.

3.  Details of the initiative

Aim of this measure is to harmonize offered strike prices in DAX® Index Options (ODAX/ODAP/ODXS) and to offer more relevant strike prices for risk management and investment purposes before expiration. 

Five days prior to expiration, following strike price intervals will be offered:

  • Micro-ODAX: 25 index points (currently: 50 index points)

The requirements for Liquidity Providers remain unchanged.
