Eurex Circular 008/25 Equity Index and FX Derivatives: Eurex KOSPI Derivatives and USD/KRW Derivatives: Decommission of the KOSPI link as of 5 June 2025 with last trading day at Eurex on 4 June 2025

1.  Introduction

The Korea Exchange (KRX) will offer extended trading hours on their platform as of 9 June 2025. Consequently, KOSPI futures and options and USD/KRW futures will no longer be available for trading at Eurex from 5 June 2025, with the last trading day of the products at Eurex being 4 June 2025.

2.  Required action

Please consider that from 5 June 2025, no trading in KOSPI derivatives and USD/KRW futures will be possible at Eurex.

3.  Details

In order to ensure a seamless transition, Eurex and KRX have agreed on the following timeline:
 

4 June 2025

Last trading day at Eurex

5 June 2025

Buffer day for transition of open interest to KRX

6 June 2025

Public Holiday in South Korea

9 June 2025

First trading day at KRX with extended trading hours

The official cancellation of admission of KOSPI and USD/KRW derivatives will be announced separately at a later point in time.
