T7 Interface Encryption: Extension of TLS 1.2 support for the ETI and FIX LF interfaces

Eurex Circular 009/25 T7 Interface Encryption: Extension of TLS 1.2 support for the ETI and FIX LF interfaces

1.  Introduction

In Eurex Circular 124/24, Eurex announced the timeline for the planned discontinuation of support for TLS 1.2. Based on feedback from Trading Participants, Eurex has decided to extend the parallel support for TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 by an additional 12 months. The extension of the support aims to provide Trading Participants with sufficient time to complete both infrastructure upgrades and application migration tasks and ensure an overall smooth transition to TLS 1.3.

The support for TLS 1.2 will now be withdrawn from 13 March 2026 in the T7 Release 14.0 simulation environment and from 27 April 2026 onwards in the T7 Release 14.0 production environment.

Please note: The Enhanced Drop Copy Service (EDC), via the Enhanced Drop Copy Interface (EDCI), which was introduced in the T7 Release 13.0 simulation environment on 15 January 2025 and which will be introduced in the T7 Release 13.0 production environment on 24 March 2025, is not affected and will continue to support TLS 1.3 only.

2.  Required action

Trading Participants currently using TLS 1.2 must adapt both their infrastructure and applications to support TLS 1.3 in line with the revised planning.
