Initiatives & Releases

ISV Registration & Software Management

Eurex is planning to introduce three new functionalities that will be available in the Member Section. They aim to improve the registration of ISVs, but also the intelligence and transparency on the usage of the third-party vendor, third-party vendor software, and self-developed software of trading and clearing members on a technical connection level. The following functionalities will be hence introduced in the Member Section:

a. ISV Registration

b. Software Registration

c. Software Selection

Moreover, with this initiative, the current ETI and FIX LF session ordering and FIXML & FpML account creation process via Member Section will be enhanced with the addition of two new fields for the software vendor and software name.

Production start: 30 September 2024

FAQ

If you are solely a hardware vendor, you are not required to go through the online registration process.

ISV registration process should be completed by an authorized person from the ISV company. It is then the responsibility of each trading participant and clearing member to enhance the details of their sessions and accounts with vendor and software information. For this, only the software of a registered ISV will be available. Therefore, members are recommended to contact  their third-party vendors to ensure that they  have the required software available for selection.

Members are not provided with such an overview. However, you are interested in specific ISV's registration status, you can contact us under client.services@eurex.com.

Since the setup can be very specific for each software and vendor, we would like to encourage members and ISVs to reach out to us directly in case you require further guidance or advice.

Only the owner of the connectivity needs to register and manage the registration via Member Section. However, since the setup can be very specific for each software and vendor, we would like to encourage members and ISVs to reach out to us directly in case you require further guidance or advice.

ISV Registration is not required for Service providers. Only if the Service Provider also acts as an ISV and provides software services, then they have to be registered as an ISV via the ISV Registration app.

In case of any questions related to the ISV Registration process and registration status, please feel free to contact vendors@deutsche-boerse.com.

Once submitted, the registration information can't be changed via the ISV Registration app. However, you can contact us at vendors@deutsche-boerse.com to get support on this.

Software Registration currently cannot be saved as a draft. However, once registered, you can revisit the existing registration and edit certain fields. Please refer to the User guide for more information on the Edit function of the Software Registration functionality.

Individual modules are the details that are asked during software registration. However, since we understand that the set up can change from member to members, we would encourage you to reach out to us in case you require further guidance or advice.

The clients can view the software name, business area (e.g. trading, clearing, or open access), registered environments (e.g., production or simulation), and registered hostings (e.g., hosted / cloud / on premise).

ISV registration and ISV software registration should be done by the ISV.

The Terms of Use available in the ISV Registration app do not only relate to the Member Section but contain both the terms for using the ISV Registration, Software Registration, and Software Selection apps, and the obligations of the ISV that apply with this registration.

The existing ETI/ FIX LF sessions can be used further, however, it will be required to enhance these existing sessions with the addition of vendor and software information.

The person who registers the ISV entity should be authorized to do so, as also mentioned in the Terms of Use. For the existing ISVs, the Central Coordinators, their deputies, and everyone that has been given the permissions by the CC / deputy can view the ISV Registration app under Company Administration and register the ISV.

Yes, as soon as a software of an ISV is selected by a member via the Software Selection app, the respective ISV representative receives a task via the Member Section to approve or reject this selection.

If ISV B software is used to connect to DBG interfaces, in that case, ISV B and their software need to be registered. ISV A also needs to register since they use a third-party software to connect to DBG interfaces, but the registration of their own software, which is not connected to the DBG interfaces for any purpose, should not be registered.

The only sessions that will be concerned by the enhancement with software information in the first phase are ETI & FIX LF sessions.

For all the trading participants and clearing members, who use their own software to connect to different DBG interfaces, there will be the requirement of registering this software via Software Registration app as of 14 February 2025. This software can later be used to assign to the existing or future FIXML accounts.

ISV Registration

The introduction of the ISV Registration functionality via the Member Section will digitize the registration process of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). Trading & clearing members of Eurex, Eurex Clearing, and Eurex Repo are allowed to use only the software of a registered ISV via this functionality.

All new and existing ISVs must submit their registration using the new functionality in the Member Section starting from 1 October 2024.

The deadline for the re-registration of the existing ISVs is 20 December 2024.

A detailed description of the ISV registration process is available in the ISV Registration User Guide.

Software Registration

This functionality will enable the registration of the ISV and self-developed software.

Registered ISVs are required to also register all their software, which is offered to Eurex, Eurex Clearing, and Eurex Repo clients and is intended to be used to connect to the respective market interfaces (FIX LF, ETI, FIXML & FpML, FIX & API), as the next step. The deadline for completing this step is 14 February 2025.

In addition to this, members with self-developed software (both trading and clearing) are also required to register their software which is intended to be used to connect to the Eurex, Eurex Clearing, and Eurex Repo interfaces (FIX LF, ETI, FIXML & FpML, FIX & API) starting from 14 February 2025.

Software Selection

This functionality will be introduced for the selection of the ISV and/or self-developed software.

Trading participants & clearing members using third-party vendor software or self-developed software of another member to connect to Eurex and Eurex Clearing interfaces (FIX LF, ETI, FIXML & FpML) in simulation and production environments are required to select the software via this functionality. This process will start from 14 February 2025.

The enhancement of the new and existing FIX LF & ETI sessions and FIXML & FpML accounts with the addition of the software usage information

With this initiative, the session ordering process for FIX LF & ETI and account creation process for FIXML & FpML will be enhanced with the addition of the vendor and software information in Member Section.

All trading participants and clearing members are required to enhance their existing sessions and accounts with the vendor & software information starting from 14 February 2025, following the selection of the software via the Software Selection functionality.

This requirement is also applicable for the ISVs for their simulation sessions and accounts.

The deadline for completing the software selection and enhancement of the existing sessions and accounts with the vendor & software information is 13 June 2025.

Starting from 18 April 2025, the enhancement of the FIX LF or ETI sessions or FIXML / FpML accounts with the addition of vendor and software information will be mandatory.
