以全面清算會員（GCM）或直接清算會員（DCM）的身份可以直接參與清算流程，當作爲GCM或DCM參與時需要被授予適當的許可，爲此必須滿足特定的要求。
歐洲期貨交易所清算公司（Eurex Clearing AG）的交易對手只能為GCM或DCM，GCM可以清算自己的交易，也可以對其客戶以及缺乏清算資格的交易所會員（DC市場參與者）進行清算。而 DCM有權清算自己的交易以及其100％關聯公司交易所參與者的交易。
公司可以申請一個或多個清算資格：
位于歐盟或瑞士境內被授權從事托管業務，信貸業務及以證券和現金形式向客戶收取保證金的金融機構，可以向歐洲期貨交易所清算公司申請清算會員資格。
清算會員必須滿足歐洲期貨交易所清算公司的最低資本要求，幷向清算基金做出貢獻。清算會員需要有合適的清算及結算賬戶和充足的後臺支持。
