新加坡交易所在2020年5月宣布，將於2021年2月前將MSCI期貨退市。其中包括在亞洲市場中很受交易員歡迎的MSCI台灣期貨。
為了減輕基於亞洲標的期貨合約的不確定性和流動性的潛在損失，國際投資者決定轉向在Eurex上市的類似MSCI期貨。
憑藉數十年的MSCI期貨經驗，Eurex已成為MSCI衍生品的首選市場。因此，不足為奇的是，隨著客戶將業務轉移到流動的市場，Eurex亞洲標的的MSCI未平倉合約和交易量增加。
以未平倉合約來衡量，Eurex是全球最大的衍生品交易所。 Eurex擁有139只期貨和22只期權，還提供最全面的MSCI衍生品系列。 Eurex在北京時間上午08:15開始MSCI期貨交易，甚至比當地本土交易所開始地更早。
經過最近的努力，Eurex從第四季度開始在MSCI亞洲，日本和澳大利亞的新興市場中佔有80％以上的市場份額。此外，MSCI中國自由指數的市場份額已上升至超過40％。台灣MSCI的未平倉合約名義價值也從6,100萬美元增至4.8億美元。
